Britax Römer DUALFIX PLUS car seat

Approved under the new UN R129/03 (i-Size) regulation, the Britax Römer DUALFIX PLUS is a car seat that lets your child travel rearward facing from 40 cm up to 105 cm or 20 kg (whichever comes first), that is, from birth to approximately 4 years of age.

As it rotates 360°, it can optionally be oriented forward facing from 76 cm and 15 months, as well as rotating 90° to either side to make it quicker, easier and more convenient to place, fasten and remove the child from the car seat.

360° rotation.

Although the recommendation is for children to travel rearward facing for the full range of use of the car seat, (up to 105 cm or 20 kg), the 360° rotation allows the seat to be turned forward facing at the touch of a button and without the need to re-install the seat.

This change should never be made before 76 cm and 15 months (both conditions are mandatory).

This rotation is particularly practical when placing the child in the car seat and fastening the harness, as it allows the seat to be turned towards the open car door.

Comfortable for the child.

The DUALFIX PLUS reclines in four positions, both rearward and forward facing, for maximum comfort for the child.

The short rebound bar also offers an extra leg space for growing children.

Newborn insert included.

The DUALFIX PLUS can be used from birth (40 cm in height and above) with the newborn insert included with the car seat, which must be used until the child reaches 60 cm in height.

This insert has energy-absorbing elements that absorb energy in the event of an impact, reduce space and allow babies to adopt a more lie-flat, ergonomic and comfortable position.

Side protection.

The soft, padded side wings act as a protective cocoon to help absorb the forces generated in the event of a side impact, reducing the risk of injury.

5-point harness.

To protect the child regardless of the direction of impact, the DUALFIX PLUS has a 5-point harness, which, in the event of a collision, distributes the forces of impact to five points:

two at the shoulders, two at the hips and one where the harness buckles between the legs.

The harness and padded head restraint can be adjusted together with one hand to suit the child´s height as he or she grows.

The upper straps of the harness should be at the child´s shoulder level.

Soft chest pads help reduce occupant movement in the event of a collision and add even greater comfort to the 5-point harness.

Removable Cover.

Both the cover and chest pads can be easily removed for machine washing, without removing the harness.

Installation with Isofix and support leg.

The DUALFIX PLUS is installed with Isofix and support leg, and is directly compatible with i-Size approved vehicle seats.

In cars without i-Size seats, compatibility must be checked in the list of approved cars or in the Britax Römer Fit Finder.

This car seat incorporates the new Isofix connectors, which can be used independently, to make installation of the seat even easier.

The support leg, which minimises rotation and tilt movement, should be adjusted to the height that best suits the vehicle.

A simple indicator shows whether the support leg is correctly positioned on the car floor.

Forward facing:

76 cm and 15 months - 105 cm or 20 kg (optional).
