The Scott Roxter 20 caught my attention with bright neon colors and high quality equipment.

We bought one for our youngest as the Trek Roscoe we bought his brother a year earlier had gone up significantly in price. We found this to be very similar to the roscoe, low stand over height, light (somehow it’s lighter even though it comes with a stand) without the unnecessary weight of cheap suspension, which kids really don’t need. Like the roscoe it comes with the balloon tyres, which are great when kids bump up kerbs and also both absorb bumps when on the trails and make it possible to do gravelly river crossings without getting stuck. Only thing we didn’t like was the twist gear change, which we swapped for a thumb lever as kids accidentally change gear whilst holding on. Geometry is slightly better considered than the trek roscoe too, as the longer top tube prevents the seat being closer to handlebars as the seat post is raised.
